Super Furry Animals, the best band in Britain, have released the three track Slow Life EP as a free download, available on their Placid Casual website. Also available for free download is Ysbeidiau Heulog, a cracking track from Mwng, which incidentally is the highest charting Welsh language album ever (it reached 11). While you’re visiting Placid Casual you’ll also be wanting to check out Yt Atal Genhedlaeth, singer Gruff Rhys’s solo project, which sounds splendidly like Super Furries meets the Beta Band.

Yep, still the best (and most interesting) band in Britain. If only I could’ve voted for them yesterday! Now that would have been interesting…

Slow Life is a hell of a track. I’m looking forward to their new album.

had to comment – they really are the best band and I can’t understand why they are not as popular as others. Everytime I introduce a friend to them they end up agreeing. Yet another album coming out in August.

Nice bit of free music always goes down well. Hope the quality is all right, and they are properly tagged.
I hate untagged music.

Too bad all the tracks are encoded @ 64kbps but even worse not even 44kHz! That’s quite awful really. It’s a good thing their music is so good…. ;)
