Entries for the WThRemix competition are in. Many of the entries stuck quite closely with the current W3C feel, but a few pushed the boat out a bit (as I believe was the idea of the contest). In no particular order, my favourites came from Ben Darlow, Rene Grassegger, Tom Whitaker and Radu Darvas. Personally I think Radu’s effort wins hand-down, for its great CSS rollovers, liquid layout and bold design (while I don’t think the colour choices are entirely appropriate to the W3C, I do really like them).

well, about the colors: why should every SERIOUS site be blue???
most of them are so, why not a little bit more sexy?...

Radu – you’re quite right about the colours issue – blue does seem to be the overriding choice and your colour choices were certainly more sexy. I suppose I felt they were a just that bit too sexy for the W3C. But, heh, it’s all subjective ain’t it :-)
