Catnappers

Small town (city actually) talk. I reckon there’s some catnapping going on around here. And I don’t mean folks snatching a quick snooze. Here are just two of the flyers popped through our door in the last few weeks:

Missing black cat called Ting.

Missing one-eyed chocolate brown cat called Darcy.

I’ve seen at least 6 flyers and posters for missing cats in Kemp Town. Wonder if the feline fuzz are on to the Kemp Town catnappers…?

Where I live, in the Hanover area of Brighton, just a shortuphill trot from Kemp Town, there are always at least five posters pleading for the safe return of a lost cat. I’m pretty sure that people are either stealing them, shooting them or poisoning them.

Why would someone want to nick an adult cat especially one that’t blind? The cruel fur trade business people only go for those that are younger than those you recon have been catnapped

Both these cats were found. What you have received is evidence of caring owners doing what they can to find their missing cats. Cats although domestic retain the instincts of their wild ancestors. It is natural for cats to go wandering. I have over 60 on my list at any one time. The majority are found safe and well. Those that are not found have invariably moved into a new home where that home owner does not report the cat to Lost & Found lists such as mine. Whilst searching for losts cats I have been ‘reliably’ informed of many ridiculous rumours, fur trading being one of them, experiments at the University being another. Ask yourself have you seen anyone wearing a cat fur coat?

Everybody should allow ‘wild’ cats in the cities and suburbs to be there regardless if they get rabies.
If they do, they manage to round them up eventually. Last time it was a big scare when cats got out in Chesterfield Va. but they bit noone contracted it (and I believe rabies can be cured by hypnotism)
Remember something = that if it wasn’t for the cats and dogs being killed in the middle ages (13 or 1400’s) before the plague for some reason they killed all cats and dogs – when bubonic plague struck but that’s what made it worse a plague !

Shooting and killing, finding cats killed, and wanting to kill them has become too big in America. Even though over there they have a big show of supporting animals – they’re into dogs primarily – not cats – some say they support turning them in to spca to be neutered free but they still are secretly poisoning those street cats and using them in experiments.

On the other hand I know cats can kill birds and that this can be a problem in the rural areas when they show up but try best to befriend or capture them in a step on cheese trap from local feed store and ‘em a give them a ‘easy detach bell’ and it’ll be alright.

Wild cats benefits outweigh the damage

We need cats in America to eat the rats from the nasty rancid Sam’s Clubs and Walmart Stockhouses and Taco Bells etc.
