¶ An office interchange during last week’s heatwave:
Rich: My train was 40 minutes late yesterday.
Nika: Why was that?
Tim: The rails are expanding in the heat.
Nika: I see, so that makes the journey longer…
Much mirth ensued. Maybe you had to be there.
