Want something done? Then ask a busy person…

And so Ian Lloyd has kindly asked me (and others) to fill in at Accessify while he and Manda continue their world tour (calling in at SxSW of course – Accessify has been nominated for the Developer’s Resource award).

For the uninitiated, Accessify is an continually expanding collection of articles, tutorials, links and in particular tools for helping Web designers and developers to create more accessible site more easily. SxSW beckons: It’s now just three days until I head off to SxSW and I’m a tad excited. This year there’s a sizeable Brit pack heading to Texas, many of whom will be speaking in panels.
No more referrers: I’ve removed the referrers list until I work out how to filter out all the spam. The situation was manageable until this weekend, when I got bombarded with porn links. So if you have any filtering ideas, please leave a comment or get in touch directly.
Blacklisting comment spam: Everyone’s talking about it, everyone’s getting it: the evil that is comment spam. I have implemented a blacklist technique which I’ve added to a growing decentralised web of trust.
Textilisation: Clagnut now uses a slightly customised version of Dean Allen’s wonderful Textile. Textile provides speedier text input (without having to mark up the input into my CMS) and formats the text nicely, with proper “typographer’s quotes” and so on. There…
