Clagnut

The end to war

Over in MacCentral there’s a few interesting thoughts from Marc Andreessen on why he thinks the browser wars are long gone and how divergence of browsing applications across different platforms is inevitable. Although quite how both the interviewer and Andreessen manage to assert that Opera is open source is beyond me.

I’ve recently discovered AllTheWeb as a serious alternative to Google. Apparently AllTheWeb now searches 2.1 billion pages versus Google’s 2.07 billion and has a full refresh cycle of 7–11 days. It certainly has more of clagnut and cuzza indexed than does Google.

England versus Brazil tomorrow at 7:30am (as if you didn’t already know). And I’ve managed to wangle an appointment with the doctor for the afternoon. Working from home – smashing.
