Over at Code Style, they have a (yet another) project which I’d been meaning to do for some time: to map the popularity of fonts on various platforms. You will learn that you should be adding Lucida to your font stack to help those plentiful Unix folks out there.

Mark Newhouse, ALA contributor, has compiled all his groovy real world CSS stuff in one place.

Font embedding survey: Thomas Phinney, Adobe’s Fonts Product Manager for & Global Typography has posted a survey asking Web designers/developers about different implementations of @font-face.
A couple of accessibility studies: One by Joe Clark on screen-reader usability at a redesigned, standards-compliant e-commerce site. The other by Russ Weakley and Roger Hudson on the real world interpretation of HTML table mark-up by assistive devices.
When good type goes bad: Jakob mourns the demise of the text sizing buttons IE but fails to point out that it won’t have any effect on a Windows machine if text is sized in pixels. Microsoft have stopped giving away their free web fonts.
Moving the Font Matrix forward: A fantasy proposal for a website which automatically generates font stacks based on community input.
All I’m offering is the truth: Jeremy Keith has published his excellent SkillSwap talk on CSS Based Design. Its real selling point is that Jeremy advocates and demonstrates how starting out with meaningful mark-up will help along your CSS. And he even manages to ape the Matrix along the way.
