My adopted home town. As the slogan goes, The Place To Be. I love it here: the beach, the nightlife, the shopping, the Festival. Shame about all the Londoners in the summer.

On 9 June 2004 I was privileged to sea British Sea Power play to a 150 person capacity crowd the Freebutt, Brighton supported by Morton Valence.

On the Downs

The South Downs are a set of chalk hills running from Petersfield to Eastbourne, skirting a few miles north of Brighton. They have been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, an entirely befitting description.

Late December 2003, I took a short circular walk with Fox, from the Tiger Inn at East Dean to Birling Gap via the Seven Sisters. It was a desparately dull day but, typical of the time of year.

Every year in about this time in August, houses, shops and pubs are draped in rainbow flags as Pride takes over Brighton for the weekend. Don't try to get a haircut this weekend - believe me I've tried - the hairdressers are all shut until Tuesday! I snapped a few pictures of the procession sweating its way from the Palace Pier to Preston Park.
