Morzine 2004

Yet another fantastic year mountain biking in Morzine, Portes du Soleil, France. The weather was a lot wetter than previous years, but it didn't dampen our spirits.

Crete 2003

For the first time in years, Her Indoors and I went on a two week holiday. Our destination wsa Kokkini Hani, a small village near Heraklion on Crete.

Venice 2003

In May 2003, Her Indoors and I went to Venice for a long weekend. This was chiefly inspired by Ryanair's 15 quid return fare. Nice.

We stayed in the Hotel Farrier, away from the hubbub near Piazzale Roma, as recommended by Marcus and Mie. The weather was beautiful and it gave me a good opportunity to try out my new digital camera (a Casio Exilim S3 for those who care).

Jersey 2002

In June, Wendy and I went to stay with Sue, Darren, Ellie and Harriet in Jersey.

Morzine 2002

For the last three years, a dozen of us have made the pilgrimage to mountain biking Mecca: Morzine in the French Alps. The riding is superb; varying from muddy wooded singletrack to dry, rocky mountain passes. Then there’s the World Cup downhill courses – at least four are in easy reach through use of the proliferation of chairlifts. Oh, did I mention everywhere is very, very steep.

Cornwall 2001

Whit week spent, as is often the case, in Cornwall. This time in a magnificent farmhouse in Marazion near Penzance, overlooking St Michael's Mount.
